In 2010, the Curly Weekend will be held in Tuorla (Tuorlantie 1, 21500 Piikkiφ). Hostel Tuorla is situated in South-western Finland, only 13 kms from Turku towards Helsinki by the road 110. Apartments for eight people (four double rooms) with shared shower, toilets, kitchen and TV. Its also possible to overnight with a trailer or tent. Some of the rooms are in second floor, so if you absolutely want to stay in the ground floor, say it in the Other wishes. Also the dayvisitors can eat lunch and dinner. The host needs to know how many will eat, so remember to mark the entry if you wish to eat in Tuorla. Breakfast is included for those who overnight in rooms. ![]() The Curly Weekend begins on Friday morning, we will have rally training by Mrs Marika Klossner. Later in the afternoon, we will have show and trimming training. Bring your own scissors! Later on the same day, there will be a short obedience lesson. In the evening, there will the traditional and exciting speeding race. Entries before the race. On Saturday, we will have field trial training. The trainers are Mr and Mrs Petri and Kati Tuominen. There will be several training groups, so dogs in different levels can take part. There will also be a basic obedience lesson like on Friday. Later on the same, we have a lecture about eye diseases in curlies, and this is held by DVM Tuomas Illukka. In the evening, the Curly Club of Finland will have its annual meeting. ![]() On Sunday, there will the official Club Championship Show with CCs. We have invited for the judge Mrs Lyn Hunter from the UK. Before the official show, there is a puppy show for curlies under nine months. The lunch is served between the judging of the dogs and bitches in the show. NB. The timetable is still preliminary, but the programme won't change much. People attending the Curly Weekend, will receive a more accurate letter about a week before the weekend. It's also possible to do EIC- and GSD-test for your curly. Please, contact the contact person if you like do it, or have any questions. Accommodation, meals and training fees must be paid by 18th of June in Curly Club's bank account. Everybody who takes part in training, pays a training fee, which covers all the trainings. The training fee is per handler, but a handler can have more than one dog. The fee for members is a bit less than for non-members. You can listen the trainings without a dog for free. |
